TUA CELEBRATED 1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY by Elena Catalo

July 18, Trinity University of Asia celebrated its first anniversary as a university. TUA's Vice President for Administration and Finance, Mrs. Leonora Yngente, organized the activities which started with a three o'clock afternoon blessing of the three recently renovated buildings, namely: Henry Noble Gymnasium, Lyman Ogilby Hall, and Arthur Carson Hall. The blessing was performed by the University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Carlos Mendez.

After the building blessings, a simple program was held at the Mezzanine of the University Food Court. It was opened with a thanksgiving service officiated by Rev. Mendez. The University President, Dr. Josefina Sumaya, gave a short message where she recounted the completed projects as part of the campus development and other projects to commence this year and in the next two years.

Mrs. Nida Perez, secretary of the College of Business Administration, and Ms. Karen Fernandez, librarian, rendered some solo numbers, while University President, Dr. Josefina Sumaya and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Epitacio Palispis, danced the cha-cha. Guidance Director, Dr. Wilhelmina Tomas, was program emcee that afternoon.

Those who attended the blessings were treated to a simple salu-salo after the short afternoon program.
